Not quite what I was asking for in this post, but a solid start. This is a spec table, comparing basic technical specs of the iPad Pro and the Surface Pro 3.
What’s missing, for me, is the technical comparison of the Surface Pro 3 stylus and the Apple Pencil. I assume someone is working on that one as we speak.

Here it is, Dave.

Thanks, Tom. Posted the review, gave you a hat tip. Feel free to tweet (@davemark) me your full name/Twitter handle if you’d like me to expand the hat tip. 🙂
Agree, comparing the drawing / handwriting capabilities is something that does make sense, as it would allow somebody looking for a device with such to make a decision.
Comparing specs of two completely different devices (just because they look similar?) though… I don’t quite get the point. If I need to run Windows desktop applications, the iPad Pro’s higher pixel count won’t make a difference to me. And if I want a tablet with support for the greatest selection of touch apps, the Surface is not even on the same planet. And somebody being so confused about what to buy that this chart would help him… Should maybe better buy nothing.
I will order the biggest Pro with LTE the minute it becomes available, as I have been wanting a bigger iPad forever. And I buy it because it does not run Windows, does not have cruft like ports I do not need on a mobile device etc. (Will wait for Zagg to make a keyboard though, Apple’s without backlighting and some support for different angles is nothing I would use over the virtual keyboard anyhow.)
