Andy Ihnatko:
Before I begin what’s going to be a multi-part, in-depth Apple Watch review, I thought it’d be valuable to write down all of the fundamental observations that I believe to be true of all wearables, as of August 2015.
In his usual long-winded but wonderfully entertaining style, Andy Ihnatko makes some great points of what smartwatches need in order for them to be successful.
Nothing against him, but by the time he normally gets to his point, my mind has wandered elsewhere. “Long-winded” is a bit of an euphemism here, as he makes Stephen Fry and Christopher Hitchens look speechless in comparison. (And that’s what I would call an achievement.)
Really? I enjoy Andy Ihnatko’s writing. I always liked flipping to the last page of Macuser to see what funny comments he had on whatever the newest topic was. I didn’t always agree but I appreciated his writing style, and still do.
Different strokes for different folks I guess.
That being said, I don’t search out his articles either. So maybe it’s a middle ground for me. As to this particular article, I thought it was rather well done.
