Apple Music, the Ultimate Guide

Serenity Caldwell and the iMore team have pulled together a pretty massive eBook, a complete guide to Apple Music. I’ve been reading it on my iPhone and it’s just what you’d expect. Serenity knows her stuff, there’s a lot of detail on setup and troubleshooting, it looks great, and it’s only $4.99.

On the iMore promo page, the eBook is said to be 150 pages. But on my iPhone, it weighs in at 450 pages. Obviously, page count depends on your device, your mileage truly may vary.

  1. I gotta admit, I’m frustrated daily by lots of little things in the new app. Today for example, all my playlists always play shuffle. I’m sure there is a way to change that but I haven’t found it yet.

Serenity Caldwell is excellent and I’m sure the book is good. But you have to ask yourself a question: Does a music app for your phone need a 450 page book before you can use it properly?

  2. Agreed on all counts. The fact that so many guides, How To articles, and FAQs exist for Apple Music is telling of how confusing it is to the average person (like me!).

Of course, if you happen to by Jim Dalrymple you can get flown to Cupertino in Tim Cook’s private jet for a private genius session and all-you-can-drink Heinekens 😉

  3. Speaking of iMore, their site update totally sucks. Infinite scrolling and near impossibility to open articles in new windows has reduced my visits to their ad-riddled browser killer of a site to near zero. Pass it on.
