sigh… it’s not so much that they blatantly copy from others, it’s that a company that big with those resources should be able to change the world! You can’t help but wonder what they might produce if they took more risks, especially on the software side.
Shameless doesn’t even begin to describe them. Soulless is a better term. Look at that top left icon, complete ripoff of the Friends icon in the Apple Watch settings app.
Oh but wait, on the weather icon, the Sun is on the RIGHT side of the cloud shape. So original!

I don’t think anyone is questioning that Apple has also taken cues from competitors. WebOS had some brilliant ideas, some that were fresh and new and others that were great riffs on what Apple was already doing with iOS. Even Samsung has come up with some good ideas on its own, but their implementation never looks like anything but putting an Apple device on a copier and then running the result through a filter.
