Catalog your repertoire. Prompt your lyrics live on stage. Keep everyone in sync. If you perform live on stage, alone or with a group, Setlists will make you a better professional. Forget carrying around heavy binders of paper and writing up tonight’s set on a napkin with a Sharpie.
Great looking app. I’ll be using this one.
Whatever happened to the good old dog-eared fakebook?
My fake book was last seen in the case (with builtin amp) of my Silvertone guitar.
what a nice idea for a practical music app.
This is actually a pretty crowded field. I haven’t tried (or heard of) this one before now. DD Gig Book (best for PDFs) and UnrealBook (good for text files and ChordPro, like the reviewed app) are both good, but I’ve settled on OnSong, because in addition to the features that are common to ALL apps of this type, OnSong reads HTML files, so I can have my formatting just the way I want it.
I also use OnSong–for the last 3 years. I can import a chord and lyric sheet from any web page, doc file, pdf, text file, then edit to my heart’s content. And then stream that same chart to others in the band with the app. I also have a bluetooth foot pedal that starts and stops scrolling, and changes pages too, so I never have to touch my iPad all show.
