Whenever I hear about Flash it’s like hearing about what some old actor is doing that you always assumed had died.
This sort of thing is why I have Chrome, embedded Flash & set to auto update. Other browsers don’t get Flash. Life is good.

Same here. And I find myself switching to Chrome for Flash-required pages less and less. Earlier this week I gave up on NPR Music’s First Listen page because of Flash behaviors. That was one of the last hold-outs I still visited regularly. I’ll start visiting again once they drop Flash like they did with Tiny Desk Concerts.
Thankfully, Apple does not write any software that requires patches for exploitable security vulnerabilities.

Yes, but the sarcasm doesn’t work.
Flash is legendarily buggy, and the exploits all seem to be critical/serious, and it’s a relatively small codebase (compared to “everything Apple makes”, especially).
Everybody making OSes and browsers exposes an exploit now and then; but some do it more than others, and Flash is a joke with the number, frequency, and level of severity involved.
At some point, the responsibility no longer rests solely on Adobe. At some point, Flash becoming vulnerable becomes expected rather than surprising. And at some point, responsibility becomes shared by every website author stupid enough to continue to build pages dependent on Flash.
If you aren’t already aware, the NPR Music iOS app gets all the First Listen content too. No browser (or grotesque Flash) required.
That’s a good point. I’m in front of my computer all day so I tend not to think outside that box. The downside being that I have a nice USB headphone amp connected to the computer that I don’t think I can connect to the iPhone or iPad.
