Besides the fact they are malicious, copying, stinking bastards, their customer service sucks balls.
This is why I won’t own a Samsung product

Well, unfortunately it’s nearly impossible these days to not own any Samsung product. Displays, RAM, Power Management controllers…, those malicious, copying and stinking bastards are just about everywhere 🙁
I think they do better in those products where the customer is a corporation with direct power that can cost them millions. Individuals? Not so good.
Yes, you’re completely right. It’s not that they are unable to make great products. It’s the way they behave in the consumer market that pisses me off. They shouldn’t have to put up with such stuff. But they do and that destroys most of their other accomplishments for me. Samsung sucks.
They are a great SUPPLIER. They develop and manufacture competitive components. I’d be willing to bet my last dollar that they certainly give Apple much better service than they gave this reporter, or any other individual consumer, since Apple is giving them millions of dollars (and also the fact that they have an unhealthy infatuation and jealousy towards Apples products).
In terms of being a consumer products company, they’re not even close to being “great.” Not just because they have terrible customer service. But because they simply don’t give a flying F— about individual consumers. Their terrible customer service is only a symptom of that. Throughout the entire Samsung customer experience, there are signs of complete lack of care everywhere you look. As well as a lack of integrity.
The fact that they asked Ammunition shortly after the iPhone debuted, “we want a phone like that, make it happen in 6 weeks” speaks volumes about them as a company. I believe I read this in a book called Design Crazy.
Thank you for pointing out this article Jim.
Sorry if I don’t have a substantive comment to make about it. I just wanted you to know I appreciated reading it.
