I’ll be honest, I like my iPad better, but a lot of people really like the Kindle. They dropped the price, so if you were waiting for that, here’s your chance.

Different device than an iPad.
I love my iPad. But, it is difficult to use as an ebook reader in many circumstances where this device does a better job.
Love my iPad Air 2 which is why I use a Kindle for books. The iPad is generally much better for reading. However I don’t like risking my expensive iPad at the beach, gym, pool or when open drinks are being served on a crowded airplane. I won’t loose any sleep if my Kindle gets dumped on. The screen on the Air 2 is fantastic, but the kindle works great in bright light and never gives me an overheated message like my iOS devices do in the hot sun.
