Photo editing app Snapseed gets its first major update since 2013 with version 2.0, adding a number of new editing tools to help you get the most out of your photos.
Snapseed is my favourite iOS editing app and it’s free. The interface has changed significantly but it’s not awful. If you’ve used previous versions, you’ll get the hang of this new UI fairly quickly. If you’ve never used it, you really should. It’s easy to figure out. Every photo I take on my iPhone gets passed through Snapseed.
Used to use Snapspeed, but switched to VSCO a couple years back. Still jump into Snapspeed if I need a specific effect. Great to have so many good choices.
Snapseed is great – although they went and hid all the things I use with this update – I think I’m there now.
Any news on an update for the Mac version, Shawn?
I didn’t even know there was a Mac version. I’ve only ever used it via a browser or an iOS device.
The Brush tools could be quite the coup since Apple went and disabled iPhoto for iOS with iOS 8 and didn’t put the its brushes (possibly the only really useful feature of that app) into the main Photo app
