This is just great.

  1. When will this hack be exposed for what he is? He plays the “I’m a kooky indie guitar player” shtick to the extreme. He will undoubtedly be irrelevant in the history of guitar heroes. Hang out with Page and Plant all you want, doesn’t make you a better player.

    Unoriginal, annoying, and uninspiring.

  2. It’s a treat to see R. Plant play Zep tunes, period. But I do share your sentiments about Jack White. I found him insufferable and completely out of his depth in the documentary “It Might Get Loud”. IMHO, it would have made much more sense to include one of a dozen other guitarists such as Mike Campbell (TP and the Heartbreakers), Kenny Wayne Sheppard or Derek Trucks to name a few.

  3. That was a weird documentary. There was a great guitarist (Page), a guy who tries too hard (White), and a guy who uses a guitar to make sounds (Edge). Why not have three guitarists, like you suggest? It was absolutely painful at the end when they tried to play The Weight, and none of them knew it. Hell, it’s not a “guitar song,” so why did they even try??

  4. Agreed. Mike C would’ve been great. Watching Jack W jump right in while Page played Cashmere was sacrilegious. Of course, he doesn’t care, he’s Jack W! So overrated.
