I subscribe to Andy Rehfeldt’s you tube channel, he has a lot of stuff like this. Though I prefer the tracks where the original singers’ vocals are preserved, with Andy’s genre-bending music underneath.
He also takes rock songs and takes them into softer generes as well. Metallica “performing” light Jazz version of “Enter Sandman”, and Marylin Manson doing a polka version of “Beautiful People” are personal favorites of those.
Of the pop songs turned Metal, Ke$ha’s “Die Young” works very well (especially with the stage performance used in the video). Sir Paul singing to a Metal version of “Eleanor Rigby” loses nothing in the translation.
Very clever!!
The Internet is both a wonderful and terrible place. This shows that it can be both at the same time.
