People hate him. Boy, wow, do they hate him. At first they loved him, and then they were confused by him, and then they were irritated by him, and now they straight-up loathe.
I’m definitely in the “loathe” camp. I’ve loathed him since way back in his days in Seattle. But it’s still an interesting, well written (and well presented on the web site) article. And, after reading it, I still loathe him.
I did start to read it and it seems interesting but then I get to the point early in where they talk about a ball player getting over 250 million dollars and I have to close the tab.
Might be A-Rod’s turn to do the annual “Aging Yankee Farewell Tour.”
Then again, he’ll probably just phone in his retirement. That way he won’t be remembered for all those boos at all those ballparks all year.
As for the Yankees paying A-Rod $250 million, there can only be one word: “Suckers.”
If he finishes his current contract, he’ll end up with over $400M in career earnings. That’s a lot of dough, unless you’re Apple.
