Leonard Nimoy, the sonorous, gaunt-faced actor who won a worshipful global following as Mr. Spock, the resolutely logical human-alien first officer of the Starship Enterprise in the television and movie juggernaut “Star Trek,” died on Friday morning at his home in the Bel Air section of Los Angeles. He was 83.
His wife, Susan Bay Nimoy, confirmed his death, saying the cause was end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
He was a wonderful actor in many roles but will obviously always be known for the iconic Spock. A very sad loss.

What a drag! I met him once at a event for his first photo book Shekina, and a good friend of mine posed for his second photo book The_Full_Body_Project. She actually became quite close with him and his family. She’s pretty broken up today.
He was an exceptional artist, and gifted in multiple disciplines. Beyond that he was funny and quick to laugh at himself. His type don’t come around very often, and losing one is always a tragedy, even at 83. LLAP, indeed!

The worst part of growing older is losing the people that you admired & loved, wether you knew them or not.
This one hurts me very deeply, He was a very important person who created my favourite fictional character who was someone I tried to learn from, even though it was from a story or tv show. It was in controlling emotions & trying to see things in a logical perspective without giving up the things like emotions that make us the human beings we are. It was in the way that we see & treat each other as well as all living things.
Spock is still a big influence on my way of thinking. He shall be with me always!

Spock was the 1st TV character that made us “weird kids” think it was OK to be weird. That the world might have a place for us.
