Yup. My neighbor works for a marketing agency that is doing a contract for Apple. She had to go through umpteen interviews over several weeks. And she’s not even manager-level.
Dang. And I thought two interviews for a 3-day-a-week freelance gig was odious.
They still managed to hire John Browett though…
Wonder how different the process is for c-levels.
This seems like a bit of a special case, though.
heres the thing — if you dont know within a much shorter period of time whether a person is likely to add value or whether theyll mesh with your team, then the problem is with you. thats a lot of wasted time/dough. there is no Bucket of Truth a hiring org can look into — only intuition. it is possible to overdo it.
