I gotta put in a good word for Yamaha’s THR series of modeling amps. I have the THR-10C, and its amp models are terrific – the Deluxe sounds like a real Fender Deluxe Reverb, another is a great Marshall emulation, there’s a super-responsive class A boutique model…and it sounds great at bedroom levels too (or louder). I thought seriously about just getting an iLoud and using it plus my iPad as my practice amp (I have a Fender Blues Jr. as my “real” amp), but Yamaha’s amp models sound better to me than AmpliTube, GarageBand, or even Bias. It’s quite a deal for $300.
