  1. Me either. Granted, anecdotes do not equal data, but I do handle a lot of iOS devices at work (testing for resale, probably 30-50 a day) and I don’t see an issue there, either.

  2. I have an Apple router. WiFi works fine on iOS. Still works fine.

There was something wonky with networking on my Mac with 10.10.1, but I think it was DNS. (And it wasn’t that bad.) 10.10.2 seems to have fixed it in any case.

  3. Caveat – eager to install major versions on current hardware. The change from iOS 7 to iOS 8 on an iPad 2 was painful.

  4. You’re misreading me. 🙂 My fault. Let me rephrase to make it clearer:

If you’re eager to experience major versions like iOS 7 or 8, you’re in for some pain. Realistically, you should probably wait a few days to a week before installing a major update to see if anything is hugely broken.

Being slow to install a minor update, like 7.0.1 over 7.0 or 8.0.1 over 8.0 (in MOST cases) will make it even more painful for you. Waiting a few hours after a minor update is totally appropriate, in the rare case like 8.0.1 on the iPhone 6.

You don’t have to be among the first to install a minor or major update. 🙂

  5. And still no fix for the http proxy bug where is fails to use/remember the stored credentials. This bug was introduced in IOS7.

  6. I really wish I could get my iPad Mini (first gen) back to iOS 7. My iPhone 6 is sitting pretty on 8.1.3.
