I’ve listened to a lot of headphones over the years, from high-end models to in-ears, but none have sounded as good as the Mo-Fi. The Mo-Fi are made by Blue Microphones, a company that I’ve respected for a long time, but I had no idea their headphones would be so good. If you’re in the market, you have to try these out. You’ll thank me.
The best headphones I’ve ever heard
Do we know the MSRP yet?
I foolishly thought the “blue” implied bluetooth. Silly, I know. No more wired headphones for me. Bluetooth lets me do mundane chores around the house while listening to, for example, the Amplified podcast.
$349 on Amazon. The website has a link to it.
Tell Marco Arment… 🙂
Quite interesting. I’m a sucker for high-end headphones and these seem to be very well thought out. Comfort is a huge deal for me, when I wear them for 5+ hours and these have a unique approach, I hope, that solves lateral pressure. The built-in amp is also intriguing. I thought my UE Pros were the last ear monitors I would buy, but I’m going to have to pick up a pair of these.
I came across the MoFi headphones when looking for good headphones for my Pono player. Oh my gosh, what a great set of headphones! They are simply amazing. With high-res music, the combination is fantastic. But they also make my iPad sound WAY better than my $200 Sony IE headphones. There’s no comparison. And for only $350.
Worth it at twice the price. They are big and heavy, and the design is inspired by Formula One car suspensions. The benefit here is that they fit on your head way better than all the others, which seem to be designed for blockheads like Charlie Brown. (i.e. round heads.)
Yes, they do solve the lateral pressure thing. On the top there is an adjustment for the amount of pressure used.
Guitar Center sells them, btw.
Ordered from Amazon after your recomendation. You are absolutely right. I thank you.
