Apparently-Amazon-doesn’t-like-hyphens. They-have-since-seen-the-error-of-their-ways-and-let-the-book-back-in.
Amazon rejected the book because the author decided to use the minus sign in place of hyphens or dashes. This causes issues with typesetting and text-to-speech (which, had I used minus signs instead of hyphens, would be read as “text minus to minus speech”).
Amazon did the right thing, and now the author is more educated.
