Agreed. I’ve been using Little Snitch since it came out. This is the way all firewall traffic should be handled.
I’ve turned on my Mac firewall. In this way, when I am on a foreign WiFi or LAN, I don’t have to rely on the quality of the local firewall. I don’t turn it off when I am at home either.
Between not defaulting to services on and almost always being behind NAT, I concur.
Most people don’t need a firewall most of the time on OSX.
