From one gift come many

That’s the new tag line for the Apple Store’s front page. That text is against a background of two kids surrounded by shadowy, soft-sided fantasy. One object in the picture stands out: a hard-sided, rounded rectangle.

Beautiful work.

  1. I know it’s grammatically correct, but it sounds weird. “Comes many” sounds better (even tho it’s wrong). And yes, great looking store front. Akin to the fancy xmas catalogs.

  2. I had to really think about it when I first saw it; it is correct, but it’s odd.

I wondered about localization. I checked the French site, and they say Un cadeau plein de cadeaux, or A gift full of gifts.

  3. “Soft-sided”? It’s a well-to-do kid’s bedroom with a canvas tent set up in it. Nice photography, sure.

  4. Forget if it is grammatically correct, what the heck are they trying to say? What is the one gift from which the many come?
