It would be nice to do a clean install, or any kind of install. Yesterday I was looking at a 5 day 7 hour download time, and I’m NOT on dialup!
Is anyone else experiencing slow downloads of Yosemite from the App Store?
I got it installed and setup in less than 45 minutes. Download took 25 minutes and what left me completely impressed was the speed in which it installed. It stated 22 minutes, I left, took a shower, came back and it was done. The only thing that I had to do was clean permissions. Once I got that done, it has been running extremely well. I believe Apple must have further optimized the code because my Old 2008 Mac Pro has never ran this good ever! It faster at booting, it sleeps when it has to, wakes with no issue and it simply feels a lot snappier.
Perfect timing! I think I’m going to wipe my iMac since it is pretty much a big pile of sludge right now.
