Music video animation makes its way across multiple iPads and iPhones

I can very easily imagine that the animations were shoehorned in during editing/post-processing. In fact, I’ll bet a dollar that’s how it was done.
But that’s kinda not the point, anyway. It’s clever, no matter what steps it took to get it into its final form.
At the beginning of the video you can read: “Everything you seen on the screens is going on in realtime”.
It is just a lot of work. This is not the first time something like this is done, but the complexity and length of this piece is astonishing.
They just loaded a different video on each device and they pressed play on all at the same time in the beginning. Then it is just a matter of rehearsing the positioning of the devices.
thats was cool!
That’s how Samsung and Microsoft would have done it. This is real.
Yup, it’s done realtime. I remember another band doing the same idea with four iPhones. It’s as simple as making an animation (on the Mac, for example) then importing it to play as video on the iPhone & iPads. Then they ‘just’ 🙂 have to manage the timing of when to start the video, when to move the iPhone/ iPads into the picture, etc.
Interesting narrative in the video.
A gigantic mutant rabbit is chasing a helpless woman and at the end when he finally captures her, there’s a hint he’s going to do “something” to her.
Very creative & techie take on romanticizing stalking, cyber stalking, and forcing yourself onto a woman.
‘But it’s just animating the narrative of the song!’ Excuses are BS, you post this, you support ‘the message’.
Mystery Guitar Man did this in April 2012 and he has a second behind-the-scenes video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKuBMihmVHQ
