From the overview page:
Achieving the highest overall DxOMark Mobile score to date of 82 points each, the Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus tie in first place wresting the coveted top spot from Samsung S5 and Sony Xperia Z3 /Z2 each with 79 points.
I’m new to the DxO review process. They do a nice range of tests. Note that there are 4 sections to the review, with links to the overview page, imaging results, video, and iPhone vs the competition.
Yet ‘Bendgate’ will get the news coverage. Pathetic.
I’ve noticed a huge improvement in low light image quality and focus speed over the iPhone 5. Very happy with the camera upgrade.
DxO is extremely competent regarding their photographic resources, apps and testing.
I have the iPhone 6 and have been extremely satisfied with the camera, but I’m surprised that the iPhone 6 Plus didn’t score higher because of the optical image stabilization.
DxO is pixel peepers’ porn. It has somewhat useful information, but it doesn’t always suss out the best lens or camera for a given use. But in general, it’s useful for high-level comparisons.
