iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus: preliminary results

AnandTech:

Some basic performance data and battery life, which include browser benchmarks, game-type benchmarks, and our standard web browsing battery life test. There’s definitely a lot more to talk about for this phone, but this should give an idea of what to expect in the full review.

AnandTech’s prelim results are interesting. I look forward to their full detailed review.

  1. Most interesting that the now discounted 5s still beats all current competing flagship phones in almost everything. And Apple is not even ‘optimizing’ their phones for benchmarks…

  2. Awesome results!
BTW why do they put NVIDIA Shield Tablet in there? Are they sponsored by them?

  3. Most interesting are the early comments. There’s always that group that cries: rigged! A disbelief that anything Apple can be good — but, but Samsung is octa-core or whatever running at 1.9Ghz but Apple is dual-core at 1.4Ghz so this can’t be, etc. Also people are crying: Anandtech is so Apple bias! Tiring.

It does show that if Apple does scale up the A8, there’s a lot of potential compared to other offerings.
