If you’ve already bought it, the iOS8 update is free and you have all the “in-app” “Pro” features enabled. Best app out there for security.
I am a little concerned with this pricing model. I say that because I would be very upset if this app were to go away. I love this app on my Mac, iPhone, and iPad. I want this company to be healthy for a long time. I looked at the list of features that you get for upgrading to Pro through in-app purchase. I’m just not sure there are that many people that would care about those features. The free version is an absolutely excellent app for most people.
After trying the latest version I sent a message to the company to let them know that I would gladly have paid for this upgrade. I was a little upset that the upgrade was free. That is how much I love this app. I think that we should pay for apps that we find indispensable so that the developers can afford to continue improving them for years to come.
With free iCloud Keychain, not many people will pay for password app, sadly. This forces the developer to go freemium route to get people to try.
I don’t think I agree completely with that assessment as this app does so much more than the keychain does.
Also, I’m not completely against it being free. As I noted in my first paragraph, I’m not sure they selected the right list of features for the Pro version. I think they would have a lot more upgrades if they chose differently. I’ve been using the app for years and I only use one or two of the items in that list.
