Watch these city workers hand lettering some signage on the street. So perfect. Mesmerizing.

Robots would be great at this. Going around the city making sure everything is painted up to snuff.
That is brilliant.
That was fantastic… takes a lot of practice to get the letterforms that precise…
The dude filling up the paint reminded me of the old road painter joke. (I’m sure everyone remembers this from second grade…)
Guy gets a job painting stripes on the highway. First day he paints 10 miles, boss is ecstatic. Second day he paints 5 miles… still pretty good. Third day he only does 2 miles. Boss asks why every day you paint less and less. Painter replies “I keep getting further away from the can.”
In my part of the world, highway crews letter roads with giant stencils and then spray the paint. I think the reflective “powder” (glass micro beads?) is then sprayed on to the still wet paint.
those were quality machines at work – yes!
That’s Impressive. What city?
I’ve seen it vein done in the UK and the road is marked up with chalk showing ‘start’ and ‘turn’ points for the letters. Very nicely done, sometimes though, not so nicely done…
