Stubble is “the most popular form of facial expression right now”?
I see a lot more clean-shaven than stubble.
Unless five-o’clock-shadow counts in which case, I guess I’m “expressing” something by not shaving after work?
Bollocks.
The article says nothing about mens goatees.
Goatee is the most common form of expression for evil twins and overweight people trying to point out where their chin ends. There.
I have one, I am underweight but have a bad chin scar from an old bike accident. The goatee hides that scar.
Needs more categories. ‘Full, groomed’, is that my beard, which is full and kept neat at about half an inch, or, say, WG Grace whose beard was equally full and groomed but rather more substantial? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W._G._Grace, if you need a reminder.) Come on guys, more column inches on beards. We’re worth it.
Well there you go, the overall theme is people with goatees do it as a chin enhancement.
BTW, I’d like to add that politically I’m strongly pro-evil twin.
There are women goatees? God save us!
Clean-shaven: You don’t have issues with conformity. You prefer not to stick out. You like a classic look.
That and my beard and mustache are even less populated with hair than the top of my head, so it looks like crap on me.
At the moment, my facial hair says that I work from home, got tired of letting the beard grow in 90-degree heat, but can’t be bothered to closely shave it every day.
I looked at your avatar here. Boy, you’re not kidding. 😉
Right. This exactly. And when I do shave, I just use trimmers and cut it off because I can’t be assed to “shave.”

Precisely.
