Apple’s “Pride” video

Apple:

On June 29, thousands of Apple employees and their families marched in the San Francisco Pride Parade. They came from around the world — from cities as far as Munich, Paris, and Hong Kong — to celebrate Apple’s unwavering commitment to equality and diversity. Because we believe that inclusion inspires innovation.

I’d love one of those t-shirts.

  1. OBJECTIVELY: The ‘Pride’ logo does not adhere to Apple’s brand guidelines. Bad call wrapping the icon with the rainbow colors and obscuring the outline. I’m surprised this was approved, but there’s always next year.

One of the characteristics I love about Apple is their ability to resist impulsive trends and the sloppy decisions that usually follow them. This, to me, seems like an impulsive decision and the result is somewhat sloppy. By all means, show support for gays and lesbians, but don’t compromise your identity.

  2. I believe the old logo’s colors would’ve been in the wrong order for this purpose.

  3. I have called the company store at one infinity loop in Cupertino to ask for two shirts so that I can tell my brother I am proud of him.
The number is area code 408-974-5050.

  4. Judging by the typography on the boxes, those t-shirts were ordered before 2002 😉 So weird to see Garamond in a current promotion.
