Apple’s new Parenthood ad – Very smart

Apple rolled out the latest iPhone 5s ad yesterday. This one was called Parenthood. The ad was part of the With the power of iPhone 5s, you’re more powerful than you think series. It featured the song The Life of Dreams by Julie Doiron.

The ad focused on a series of apps relating to parenthood. Check out this page Apple put together to showcase the ad, along with all the apps features in the ad.

The showcase page is a real boon for users and developers alike. Typically, when you see an ad like this, the apps used don’t get enough screen time to be truly recognizable.

Apple did a great job here. They’ve even linked the campaign from their home page. Very smart.

  1. Once again Apples makes an ad that shows how the iPhone can impact your life and actually be used effectively. Google shows how to order a pizza from your watch.

  2. As a parent, I love it. I even saw an app or two that I want to download. Great ad.

  3. I love the ad, and typically it’s very well done. But….maybe I’m in the minority, I want Apple to come back with more eye-catching ads that really grab your attention. “Edgier” isn’t the right word. Something more clever than all these emotionally charged ads Apples been doing of late. I like the emotional real-world side of things, but then I also love ads like the original MacBook Air ad, or the iPod ads, or even the Pencil iPad Air ad they did last year.
