Maybe someone Samsung is stealing from wanted to draw him into court so he had to go.
Actually it’s more like the “meh” reception the S5 got. They may call it the next big thing, but it’s just bluster.
You mean the one asked to copy Apple got the boot… I’m sure the people who asked him to copy Apple are still there.
From reading the article, it sounds like a promotion. He goes from heading up their mobile design team to leading all design across all of Samsung’s business lines. Maybe Samsung’s other businesses needed help copying from better companies.
Wait, did Jony Ive get fired?!?!? I mean, if Samsung canned their mobile design leader, someone at Apple must have gotten the boot first…
“Samsung now sells two times more smartphones than Apple, largely thanks to the success of Galaxy range.” — i.e., their entire smartphone range. Are they really not aware Samsung puts the “Galaxy” brand on all their smartphones and only 20-30% are flagship models?

Hey, not everything they do is copying apple! just look at their S2 and the hideous S3, S4, and S5! (S1 was a blatant ripoff)
