  1. Are there any concerns we should have with all of these exits? It seems more and more are leaving.

Or is it simply a case of folks changing life priorities?

  2. With the number of people in Apple — even in their upper ranks — I’m not convinced this is more turnover than usual. It could be, sure, but the only thing I’m sure of is that it’s making headlines on sites I read more often.

That fits well into the “Apple is doomed… again!” narrative, so I’m not paying much heed.

  3. Oh I’m sure folks are ringing the DOOMED bell. I just find it curious so many have been leaving but it absolutely could be me simply knowing about it now and I didn’t know at other times.

  4. While Tim Cook has done a stellar job overall, one area he’s been weak is with his higher level recruits. I believe this is the third or fourth person, recruited under Cook to take a high level position, who’s left after a very short tenure. They were clearly a bad fit to begin with, which is something that should have been well vetted (by both sides really) before the hire.

  5. define “more and more” — more than what previous figure? unless anyone here has been tracking all apple departures over the years (likely impossible), i dont see any reason to believe this is more turnover than has gone on in every organization throughout history. only apple HR can quantifiably state whether the turnover is higher than normal.

  6. It just seems like there are more stories coming out in the past year than I saw in the past.

As noted, it absolutely could be me not having looked closely enough in the past.
