Microsoft today announced Office for iPad, a trio of apps that bring Word, PowerPoint and Excel to tablets. Those should be showing up in the App Store shortly — around 11AM Pacific (2PM Eastern), to be exact.
I’m looking forward to seeing it.
Office for iPad
Does anyone here want to sign up for Office 365? Show of hands…. anyone? anyone?
That makes one of you Jim. The ship has sailed as far as I’m concerned. My company moved off of MS Office a couple of years ago and we haven’t looked back. A lack of a mobile offering was no small part of the decision. We’re now very happy with iWork/iCloud across all our systems and have no intention of moving back.
I still use Office/Mac for Word and Excel documents that get exchanged with some clients, but I can’t imagine having a need to do this on my iPad. And I consider subscription software something to be avoided as long as possible.
