I like this better than Google’s offering because it has an onscreen interface. While it doesn’t rely on a smartphone to control the device, it is an option, in addition to the included remote.

I like this better than Google’s offering because it has an onscreen interface. While it doesn’t rely on a smartphone to control the device, it is an option, in addition to the included remote.
It also has a ‘simple’ remote. It makes such a huge difference being able to control Apple TV by just feeling with your thumb instead of turning on a smartphone, launching an app, and looking at what you’re doing. You get what you pay for with Chromecast, and that’s junk.
