1 in 10 Americans being this stupid seems low.
The other way of saying this is that 9 out of 10 Americans know what HTML is. That is a really large number. It’s almost impossible to get 10 out of 10 people to answer a question the same way. You can ask, “who loves ice cream?” and only 9 out of 10 will say yes.
As long as 1 in 10 Americans think that STD is a programming language, that’s OK.
Why would anyone say “yes” to “Who loves ice cream”?
