I’m 100% not happy that he’s dead. But, he lived to 95 years old! That’s not sad – that’s incredible longevity!

More than sad, mostly because people like him are celebrated a lot less than assholes who grab headlines and recite gibberish.
It is sad, but what would have been even more sad is if he had died in prison in a South Africa still practicing apartheid. Mandela’s life is a triumph, and his death, at 95, as a free man, and former South African president, is cause for a celebration of that life.
