Great commercial. Must be a great product, right? Heh.

After invoking Inspector Gadget we get the weather on the gear?
Where have I seen that commercial before…Oh, yeah…
Where’s the little disclaimer that says this turd only works if you also have one of those ridiculous Galaxy Note phablets?
Seriously, these “smart” watches are crap as long as they’re just companion devices to your smartphone. Once we get a watch that can replace your phone, then we’ll have something exciting!
Oops, sorry, the OTHER Galaxy Gear commercial they aired during football is like the one I linked to, not the one linked above.
Here’s the other commercial:
I agree that they should not be simply tethered devices for your smartphone, but I disagree that they have to replace your smartphone. A smartwatch geared towards measuring your activity and the world around you will be quite useful. And perhaps a smartwatch would be better as a security authenticator than a smartphone.
great commercial for a turd of a product.
1) Too long, both the wife and I when we say this, had about the same reaction at the 30 second mark, “OK, we GET IT, show us the product”.
2) After the first few devices they show, they start jumping around chronologically, better impact that works with their tagline of “Next…” if they showed them in order.
Finally we get to see the product, and the anticipation combined the Jetson’s watch looking cooler, it’s kind of just a “that’s it?” feeling.
