Two players, Krys Barch and Brett Gallant, were about to get into a bit of a scrape-up, when they very purposely took each others helmets off. Really happened. I love hockey.
Why is ice hockey particularly prone to player fights?
Funny, I was listening to a sports talk radio show here in Vancouver and they were interviewing Bob McKenzie from TSN. He mentioned how the same rule was brought in junior hockey some time ago and how the fights used to start with the fighters taking each others helmets off. Supposedly they’ve closed the loop hole there now.
