Hi, Mayors – today we are announcing that we are moving the release date of the Mac version of SimCity to August. We have made this tough decision because we do not believe it is ready for primetime yet. We want to ensure the Mac is a great experience for our players and that is why we are taking more time.
SimCity for Mac delayed again
I don’t know that SimCity for PC is “ready for primetime” yet either…
Again? This is the first time. It was always scheduled to come out after the PC version.
This is a good thing, IMO, but SimCity should’ve been delayed for the PC as well.
The original release was supposed to be in the spring, and then they announced a June 11 date. I think this warrants an “again”.
Summer starts June 21 in EA-land.

No it’s simply a bad headline as this is the first delay. June 11 is in spring.
Before even the PC release date was announced, EA said the Mac and PC version would ship simultaneously. When the PC version shipped, they said Mac version would ship in the Spring. That’s one delay.
Now they’re saying August. That’s the second.
