As instructed by a UK court, Apple has posted a small link in the footer of Apple.com/uk. The notice acknowledges the judgement that Samsung had not infringed on the iPad design with their Galaxy Tab.
When the judge ruled that Apple hadn’t infringed on Apple’s patents, he noted that Samsung designs are “not as cool” as Apple’s. Apple decided to quote his exact words in its statement.
And rightly so.

I don’t have issue with Apple the company just this move . I’ve called out other companies as well.
Apple was just reporting the facts as required of them due to a UK court ruling. The UK judge in his ruling stated that Samsung’s tablets were “not as cool” as Apple’s. That is a fact and Apple was required as a matter of law to report it.
Yep, they did but they were ordered to ‘apologize’ yet they threw in a bunch extra. It was an apology with major ‘but’ statements.
Not recalling examples of your second point (at least on this site), but on the first we are certainly in agreement. 😉

Have you ever been slapped while being apologized to? Kinda nullifies the apology.
They weren’t required to apologize, they were ordered to advertise the results of the Samsung/Apple UK judgement and that’s exactly what they did.
I love how there’s absolutely no Apple branding anywhere on the page.
