I tried to find out if the Amazon PR department was recognized for its accuracy in the past.
All I could come up with is they are credited for creating the saying, “I once caught a fish this big!”

I think Gruber is on the right track here. Just don’t comment on press released by a company that’s not publishing numbers.
You can’t prove a negative. Without numbers, you can’t say that it isn’t 22%. Just point out that as long as Amazon isn’t giving you numbers, they own 22% of jack shit and don’t say that you don’t believe the amount of jack shit they own.
