Promoting violence between political parties while using the presidential candidates as fighters in the game is disrespectful. Possibly even dangerous considering the current extremely heightened anger between real-life political parties. It’s irresponsible for Rock the Vote! to attach their name to this and degrading for a well respected game development house like Chair Entertainment to release it.
I sure hope these disgraceful games don’t tarnish politics and politicians’ good reputations.
Mr. Scott calls it an “exploitative attention grab”. Really? If anything, the article strikes me as an exploitative attention grab for page views in the wake of recent shootings and the like.
It’s a free app aimed primarily at a younger generation of gamers. Other than the sorts of hyperbole and hysteria you might hear from overprotective parents that forbid their children from playing cops and robbers because they’re afraid their kids will turn out as psychopathic violent criminals, I don’t see anything resembling an attempt at an actual argument, let alone a sound one.
Reminds me a bit of the Whack-a-Dole I remember playing in a previous era.
