iPhone in Canada:
For those accessing iTunes today, you may have noticed Apple has added extra security to your iTunes Account by asking you to fill out three security questions and input an alternate recovery email address.
With these additional security questions now being asked in the event of account recovery, and the additional rescue email option, it should increase Apple ID security. But of course, nothing can beat a strong password, which Apple ID accounts now require a capital letter and numbers.
I’ve checked with friends in Canada and some of the questions are really obvious – like, “What is the name of your lead dogsled dog?” and “How many relatives do you have in Toronto?”
The Colorado question is: What model of Subaru do you own?
Apple isn’t serious unless they include questions about igloos, beavers, and Zambonis.
Who won the war of 1812?
What is Health Canada?
What is a Loonie
Who was Teri Fox?
What is Regina?
Didn’t this start rolling out un the US a few moths ago?
Here in New Jersey, the questions are somewhat different:
Why can’t you have nice things?
Who the fuck do you think you are?
You call that driving?
All good ones to be sure unless you are a Newfie (from Newfoundland for you ethnocentric Americans). That’s when the good questions start, like,
“What’s your beer of choice while driving in a white-out snow storm?”
All of this is old news, the rescue email and 3 questions turned up like 4 months ago and the capital letter etc is probably a year old.
Given that Jim allegedly has an inside track, I’m surprised this is being labeled as something new
