It’s really not that hard to harden your WordPress by simply installing WP Cache. Took me about five minutes. Traffic was about 20GB within four days.
Glad I did it when I set up the blog. I don’t understand why it isn’t built into WordPress and I don’t really see a reason to move to Pelican when there’s tools around. I bet the use case for your readers is about zero – how often does one get linked by Gruber? Once maybe?
