South Korea’s Samsung Electronics Co said on Thursday it has not considered acquiring Research In Motion or licensing the embattled BlackBerry phone maker’s new mobile operating system.
I don’t know, buying RIM and using the software in its devices might be a good idea for Samsung, especially if it loses the lawsuit that Apple brought against it.
Jim, haven’t you seen the 132-page “peer benchmarking” document Samsung commissioned on RIM? It reads, “Copy nothing!”
Samsung’s done copying RIM especially after the Blackjack epic fail, I doubt they’ll come back for seconds. Apple is the new target, RIM/Nokia is old hat 🙂
Of course the biggest phone maker (and second biggest smartphone maker) should abandon their strategy because it irritated Apple. Switching to an OS that no one knows, likes or uses is the obvious choice for them. Surely that android think is obviously not working for them.
