Not the Wall Street Journal – OPINION at the WSJ. In other words, this isn’t reporting, it is op-ed. And it is always worth bearing in mind that the WSJ opinion page is controlled by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp.
Yeah I pretty much caught on to that the second the moderator had a freudian slip in calling it the “Obama campaign” and not “Obama administration”.
On top of that we didn’t even get a clear cut statement about whether Gibson did anything wrong or not. Just because Madagascar says a certain type of wood is exportable doesn’t mean that it is IMPORTABLE in the US. On top of that the whole narrative of this video is scewered by the fact that they first take off on US companies now having to abide to foreign law – and then they tell us that the foreign law wasn’t even broken.
The whole video is completely FOX NEWS style and I’m sorry unless I get some real evidence this isn’t something that informs me. Those are two reporters giving their opinion (hence Op-Ed). And we don’t need opinions about this, we need facts.

I agree. Asking how it’s possible that “in America” that a company can be held accountable to laws in the countries they are dealing with is typical scoundrel patriotism, the implication being what? That US companies have no obligation to respect the laws of other countries?
