Amplified 19: I’m In a Mood
A few thoughts on this most enjoyable broadcast:
1. Sadness for Matt Honan’s losses. I would be deeply pained at losing audio/video records of the 1st year of my child’s life. I wish him good fortune in recovering these and other treasures lost.
Regarding the hassle of double/triple encrypting and jumping through security hoops. Convenience is a form of freedom from drudge and bother. I believe Ben Franklin (or was it Pierre Trudeau?) who is quoted as saying, “Freedom isn’t free.” I do not wish to sound like a pompous ass by writing this. Personally, I have been spared much disappointment about the way things “should or should not be” when I accepted this maxim as true.
