I’m with you. The tape deck is cool and fun. Apps are still allowed to be fun, right?
I like the tap deck look too, but on my iPhone 4 the interface response is SO laggy that I can’t even use the thing. Went back to the Music app until they fix performance.
I like it as well. I think they missed an opportunity by not allowing you to scrub by moving the reels.
Agreed. It seems an odd omission when they went to the trouble of making the tape actually move from reel to reel.
Maybe it’ll be one of iOS 6’s hundreds of features.
The tape deck thrilled me when I saw it. I think it is an excellent addition to the UI.
According to some people, all apps should be pale blue and white solid colors, use only the generic controls and the system font, and should not take any advantage of the millions of years of evolution in the human eye with any depth or shadows or texture. Computing is supposed to be Soviet and Microsoft.
