Hearing the commotion, Cisco came from the back yard and into the driveway, barking at the officer, as any dog would do. Mike’s hands in the air, a gun pointed at him, he was afraid for his life, and therefore could not move or attempt to quiet or restrain Cisco. He told the officer that Cisco would not bite him, to please not shoot his dog. Almost immediately, a bullet was put into Cisco’s chest, killing him instantly.
The cop was responding to a domestic dispute call, went to the wrong address and shot this poor guy’s dog.
It’s cool that people who can’t handle a dog barking at them are given deadly deadly weapons.
No wait, the other thing.
Makes you wonder why someone decided to give that guy a badge and a gun.
To serve and protect? Is that how you handle a domestic?
More like it makes you wonder why police departments have policies that label a barking dog as a threat. Because many of them do. My best friend’s father was a cop for a while and quit because of a similar policy. The dog wasn’t attacking or even moving. He was standing in front of his owner, barking and growling and was shot (in the face even so he didn’t die right off). And the cop wasn’t even given a slap on the wrist.
Ironic thing is that Jackson’s dad actually hates dogs but even he thought the whole thing was wrong.
