Barter Books:
A short film that tells the story behind the ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ poster. Its origins at the beginning of WWII and its rediscovery in a bookshop in England in 2000, becoming one of the iconic images of the 21st century.
We’ve been seeing this graphic for years in any number of versions so it was very interesting to watch this video and learn a bit about its origins.

I love the Brits. We have so much in common with our friends across the Pond, and I’m glad we’ve come together against our common enemies over the years.
That’s a wonderfully simple and hopeful sentiment for those dark days, especially, but for always, as well.
I love my Brit friends. I wish I could live closer to them, because their government still maintains more of the infrastructure and support systems their middle class needs to survive, despite conservative attempts to dismantle them.
Also, Johnston is a great typeface.
