Apple is being sued by Brandywine Communications Technologies over multimedia voicemail in its iPhone and iPad products. In the complaint filed in the U.S. district court for the middle district of Florida Tuesday, Brandywine claims that Apple is infringing on two patents it owns related to mobile voicemail.
A patent holding company — I hate that.
Apple should buy Brandywine with the condition that the owners stay employed for a minimum of five years. Then after the deal goes through, reassign them to an iPad assembly line.
Why any such condition. Apple doesn’t owe these people such courtesy.
From what has been described, Apple has no tech like what they say they have patented and no system using any kind of tech at all like what they are saying so there’s no infringement so this company is just pulling a jerk move for press or whatever. IF Apple bought them, the whole lot deserves to be kicked to the curb.
